The Trainer Behind Club Petiquette

At Club Petiquette, the goal isn't perfection. It's building a dog you trust and giving owners the confidence and skills to enjoy life with them.

I’m Michele, the trainer behind Club Petiquette.

I help dog owners turn frustrating behaviors into reliable manners through clear, practical, science-based training that works in everyday life.

I have completed the educational requirements of the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy Master’s Program and am currently completing the mentorship portion of my certification. I am also an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Approved Evaluator and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities. Before stepping into dog training, I worked for over 20 years as a paralegal, developing the communication, structure, and problem-solving skills that now help both dogs and owners succeed.

As a mom of four humans and four dogs, I understand how important it is for dogs to be safe, predictable, and reliable members of the family. Training should make life calmer, not more complicated.

I specialize in dogs who are a bit much. The pullers, jumpers, barkers, overexcited greeters, and socially awkward dogs who need clearer structure, guidance, and consistency. My focus is on leash skills, impulse control, engagement, and practical manners that make life more enjoyable for both ends of the leash.

My training style is personalized, positive, and practical. No gimmicks. No intimidation. Every dog has their own genetics, temperament, history, and learning style, and training should reflect that.
